About Noah:

Noah was born in Bern, Switzerland, leaving four years later to spend most of his childhood living in the cedar lined hills outside Austin, Texas. The family then moved to England where Noah attended the Brockwood Park Krishnamurti Foundation School in Hampshire before a Foundation Art course at Somerset College of Art and Technology. Following this, he gained a Fine Art Sculpture Degree (BA Hons 1st) at Ravensbourne College of Art and Design in London and subsequently spent a year at Hereford College of Art and Technology to learn the art of blacksmithing. Restless feet then found him working as a motorcycle courier in London, as a blacksmith on the Channel Islands, shop designer and fitter in Germany, building a prototype mini-hydroelectric turbine in Zimbabwe, having his own forge in Cornwall, as a metalwork consultant for Danny Lane Studios in London and workshop supervisor and part-time lecturer at Plymouth College of Art before becoming a founder of Flameworks Creative Arts Facility in Plymouth, Devon Noah is currently a designer/maker as well as being a director of Flameworks and a sessional lecturer at Cornwall College.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND POSITIONS HELD

Noah is a formally trained sculptor having gained a degree in Sculpture (B.A. Hons, First Class) from Ravensbourne College of Art and Design, Kent in the U.K and:

Formal training in Blacksmithing as a vocational subject. This was gained at Hereford college of art and Technology.

Metal work consultant for other artists including Danny Lane.

Workshop supervisor and Sessional Lecturer at Plymouth College of Art and Design (Now Plymouth College of Art)

Qualified teacher (PGCE and C&G Adult Ed. Cert).Currently a Sessional Lecturer at Cornwall College, U.K.)

Founder Member and Director of Flameworks Creative Arts Facility in Plymouth, U.K.
